responsibilities

• Visit various plan rooms, research and select projects, and maintain an understanding of all requirements specific to each project.
• Foster demolition project leads through essential marketing tactics, business development, and bid invitations.
• Partake in pre-bid, bid opening, and pre-con meetings, as well as regular job site meetings.
• Must have knowledge regarding structural demolition, and understand the process of demolishing residential, commercial, and industrial structures.
• Must be well organized and detail-oriented
• Perform takeoffs and develop a clear knowledge of each project’s scope of work.
• Communicate with vendors, subcontractors, superintendents, and clients regarding coordinating new and ongoing projects.
• Prepare and complete proposals, change orders, bid packets, closeout reports, and RFIs.
• Possess the ability to read and understand plans, reports, specs, and legal documents.
• Visit job site locations to evaluate and develop demolition quotes, based on job costs and the knowledge of each individual project.
• Possess an understanding of all current environmental and safety regulations.
• Ability to perform tasks within Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Possess the knowledge and understanding of job costs, as well as the principles and practices of estimating.
• Ability to prepare contracts and proposals, obtain required permits, and establish project schedules.
• Must demonstrate a strong work ethic with the ability to take initiative.
• Deadline and detail-oriented.
• Must have familiarity with state and government projects.
• Ability to understand and perform interpersonal communication, both oral and written.
• Must be self-motivated, reliable, and can perform work with minimum supervision.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Valid Driver’s License
• Clean Driving Record
• High School or GED
• Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol screening
• Background Check
• Minimum of 5 years in the demolition and estimating industry
• Must be experienced with computers, including, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Must have experience utilizing and working in various plan rooms.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual
• College Education/Degree
• Knowledge and understanding of demolishing roadway and bridges, as well as performing estimating on such projects.
