responsibilities

  • Perform and schedule routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on all fleet assets including Service/Pickup Trucks, Heavy Duty Trucks and Trailers, and Heavy Equipment.
  • Perform general and detailed repairs on all assigned assets, engines, and components.
  • Diagnose and evaluate any errors on all trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment; perform detailed mechanical repairs utilizing given diagnostic codes, as well as established manuals and plan work procedures.
  • Possess proficient troubleshooting skills and strong mechanical dexterity.
  • Diagnostic Testing, Hydraulic Repairs, Ordering Parts, Air Systems, Welding, Hard Surfacing, Fabrication, High-Pressure Common Rail Fuel Systems, Exhaust After-Treatment, and Electrical Troubleshooting.
  • Engine Overhaul, Fuel Systems, Electrical Systems, Transmissions, Cooling Systems, Chassis, Brakes, Engine Tune-Up, and General Maintenance.
  • Install Injectors, Pistons, Liners, Cam Shafts, Cylinder Heads, Rod and Main Bearings, Oil Pans, Clutches, Fan Hubs, Differentials, Fifth Wheels, Brakes, Change or Recharge Batteries, and Replace Transmissions and Other Parts
  • Utilize diagnostic tools and software to test any CEL and/or MIL failures.
  • Ability to perform diagnostic testing and mechanical repairs on Volvo, John Deere, Caterpillar, and Bobcat.
  • Ability to perform diagnostic testing and mechanical repairs on Cummins and CAT engines.
  • Assess and maintain protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices on trucks and adjust as needed.
  • Cleaning, Maintenance, Visual Inspections, Removal of Parts and Attachments, Installation Utilizing Proper Manuals, Disassembly, Assembly, Evaluation of Part Reuse
  • Travel to project site locations to perform field repairs on various types of assets.
  • Test drive and run all assets to ensure that they have been properly repaired and adhere to all safety requirements before returning to operation.
  • Follow required checklists and procedures to ensure that all fundamental parts are assessed.
  • Act in accordance with all company-required safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintain and keep track of inventory logs.
  • Follow and adhere to all safety practices and procedures and utilize safety equipment and apparel when required.
  • Ability to read and comprehend complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical schematics
  • Complete and submit all required paperwork and any purchasing and/or warranty documentation to admin in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Ability to perform quality work in an efficient and profitable manner, while keeping attention to detail and meeting required deadlines.
  • Maintain a neat, organized, and professional working environment.
  • Maintain and keep all service trucks in clean, organized, and adequate working condition.
  • Ensure proper care of all company assets.
  • Exhibit a professional demeanor and proper communication amongst all coworkers, customers, managers and supervisors.
  • Follow and complete any additional instructions and tasks assigned by Supervisors and/or Managers.

  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Clean Driving Record
  • High School or GED
  • 5 Year Minimum in Diesel Repairs
  • Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test.
  • Background Check
  • Furnish and maintain personal inventory of tools in which are needed to facilitate assigned tasks.
  • Welding, Hard Surfacing, And Fabrication
  • Deadline And Detail Oriented
  • Strong Mechanical Aptitude and Troubleshooting Skills
  • Experience in Repairs on the Following: Volvo, John Deere, Caterpillar, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Valid Class A CDL
  • College or Trade School Training
  • Experience in Cummins and CAT Engine Repairs
  • Hydraulic Repairs and Diagnostics
  • Air System Repairs and Diagnostics
